Hey there!  I'd need more data about what exactly we're looking at in /backup before I could offer advice, but in general no, I wouldn't expect the disk usage to be more than what is on the account in /home.

i was looking for what eating my server storage , i realized that backup folder eats most of server storage , when i calculated the which folder in backup takes most of storage give me mail folder in home dire inside backup folder , but the fact the the live folder inside home is half of this storage

    Example

user1 /home/user1/ the total size is 334G GB

    user1 in /backup/2025-09-08/accounts/user1/ is 675G GB

and this the only user that duplicated the size

You'll likely need to decompress the files in the backup and see exactly what is taking up the majority of the space there.

You could always delete the current backup and then create a new backup, but it might be best to create a ticket so this could be examined directly on the machine.

You can always create a ticket with your license provider as they should be the point of contact for support issues.
