ptr problem with one account only

i have 3 domains hosted on my panel  , when i log to cpanel for one domain Email Deliverability it have problem with Revers dns , when i go to the domain to check i have this problem

 

Reverse DNS (PTR) DNS Errors Occurred

The system failed to complete validation of “example”’s “PTR” because of an error: (XID kg7azt) DNS returned “SERVFAIL” (code 2) in response to the system’s query for “***.***.**.***.in-addr.arpa”’s “PTR” records.

    Hey there!  I don't have enough information here to give you an exact answer, but I would check the following:

    -is this cPanel server also the authoritative DNS server for the domain in question?
    -have you spoken with your hosting provider about configuring reverse DNS for that particular IP address?

    My reverse DNS is set and all test from same server ssh and outside it working perfect (host , dig)

    I suppose there are a few thoughts here so I'll outline them as best I can.

    The first issue is that is is *incredibly rare* for a server to control the reverse DNS for an IP address.  Your hosting provider would need to delegate your machine as authoritative for the IP, which almost never happens unless you have purchased a large range or have some other custom network agreement with them.  If you only have a few IP addresses, your server is almost certainly not the place to setup reverse DNS.  You should check with your host to be sure.

    The second issue is that it doesn't appear to be working anyway, as the in-addr.arpa zone is throwing an error there.  You could run the following command to confirm the error outside of the cPanel logs:

    named-checkzone 114.32.178.in-addr.arpa /var/named/114.32.178.in-addr.arpa.db

    (I *think* that is the proper zone name based on your log, but you may need to make changes).  That should also show you a similar error with line 65.

    Either way, I would start by speaking with your host about the rDNS because that may be the ultimate solution anyway.

    cPRex thanks for your help 

    the problem was with csf SYNFLOOD, UDPFLOOD , when i stopped them everything became normal , i dont know what the different happened , this settings working for almost 1 year with no issue , suddenly i got this issue..

    I'm glad that fixed the issue, but I don't have a good explanation for that behavior.  The only thing that could make sense is that there was so much traffic to the system that it was keeping the rDNS lookups from working as well, but you likely would have seen other issues from that behavior also.
