Cpanel System not functioning after upate.
Hello,
just wanted to let you know that after the update i got no access to 2083, 2087 port and server cpanel on Ubuntu failed (service cpanel status - FAILED)
i think it has to do with this:
- Fixed CPANEL-49106: Update Cpanel::JSON::XS and JSON::XS to address CVE-2025-40929.
root@ubuntu2:~# /scripts/restartsrv_cpsrvd JSON::XS object version 4.03 does not match $JSON::XS::VERSION 4.04. i get this.
I have to
Repair the Perl JSON::XS mismatch
and than
Force-reinstall JSON::XS and then repair all cPanel packages:
Any chance somebody from the Cpanel Team can check this and fix.
Thanks

After that /usr/local/cpanel/scripts/restartsrv_cpsrvd it works again

Hey there! This is a known issue that we're tracking through case CPANEL-49310. You can run
/usr/local/cpanel/scripts/check_cpanel_pkgs --fix
to resolve the issue, and that would have essentially ran what you did manually to resolve things.
When I hear updates on this I'll be sure to post!

Update - the fix will be released as part of our weekly EasyApache update. I'll do my usual posts to the announcement area once that is live!

Is this fixed now? If I update to 130.0.14 will I have to Repair the Perl JSON::XS mismatch and do a "/usr/local/cpanel/scripts/check_cpanel_pkgs --fix" still?

Scott Galambos - EasyApache changes are not tied to any particular cPanel version. If your system has normal updates enabled for the system (as in "yum update" runs at some point) then you already have the updated package on your machine.
