Local IP change after each restart of my cpanel whm server
AnsweredI am using Ubuntu 22.04 and currently use version 130 of whm, for some reason after migrating my old server to this new Ubuntu, every time I restart the server my local IP changes despite having it manually set in /etc/netplan/.
In the "Show/Edit Reserved IPs" menu I can see the other IP that the server is changing to but I can't delete it. Does anyone know what could be happening?

Hello CoolNet Spa,
Please show me the Netplan configuration here.
Also, make sure dhcp4: no is set and you have static IP configuration.
In addition,
Go to WHM >> Networking Setup >> Basic cPanel & WHM Setup
Ensure the "Primary IP" matches your static IP from Netplan

Hi,
Could you please clarify the specific error you're encountering when trying to remove the IP in WHM? Just a quick note: the correct interface for removing an IP is "Show or Delete Current IP Addresses", rather than "Show/Edit Reserved IPs".

Hi guys, thanks for your help. The problem was Cloud Init. Creating the file /etc/cloud/cloud.cfg.d/99-disable-network-config.cfg and entering the content network: {config: disabled} didn't change the IP anymore.
