Unable to login WHM (dnsonly)
AnsweredWe can no longer login using WHM to our server running DNSonly. The page displays:
"[A fatal error or timeout occurred while processing this directive.]"
Login via SSH OK.
Tried restarting cpanel, checking licence, different browser,/scripts/whmlogin
All fail. Any ideas please?

Hey there! The WHM interface always uses the username "root" along with the server's root password. If that is working on the command line I don't have a good explanation as to why it wouldn't work for WHM access.
When you mention SSH access, are you able to access as root?

SSH as root OK.
Looking at the logs it now looks like it maybe related to a updated version of CSF as we now see:
"[2025-11-17 16:22:19 +0000] E [/usr/local/cpanel/scripts/rebuild_whm_chrome] Can't locate object method "get_driver_name" via package "Cpanel::Config::ConfigObj::Driver::ConfigServercsf::META" at /usr/local/cpanel/Cpanel/Config/ConfigObj.pm line 185.
[2025-11-17 16:22:19 +0000] E [/usr/local/cpanel/scripts/rebuild_whm_chrome] The “/usr/local/cpanel/scripts/rebuild_whm_chrome” command (process 3932875) reported error number 255 when it ended."However disabling CSF still results in the same error.

Thanks for the additional details. This likely means that there is cruft from CSF left on the machine that is breaking the login. Can you try the following commands to see if that works for your situation?
mv /usr/local/cpanel/Cpanel/Config/ConfigObj/Driver/ConfigServercsf* /root/
Let me know if that gets your WHM access working!

Working now. Thanks for that @CPRex, it looks like the file ConfigServercsf.pm is the cause. The guys at sentinelfirewall.github.com are working on it now.

Glad to hear it!
