Clarification needed on CentOS 7 ELS end date discrepancy in WHM warning and documentation
Hello!
I am managing a legacy CentOS 7 server running cPanel & WHM version 110. When logging into WHM, I see a warning stating:
"cPanel & WHM version 110 will be the last version that supports CentOS 7. The Extended Lifecycle Support program extends CentOS 7 support with cPanel & WHM version 110 to January 1, 2026. We encourage migration to a supported OS. See https://go.cpanel.net/ELS for details."
However, when I follow the https://go.cpanel.net/ELS link and review the official blog and documentation, they state that the Extended Lifecycle Support (ELS) program actually extends CentOS 7 support until January 1, 2027.
Could you please clarify which date is correct? Is the WHM warning showing outdated information that has not been updated to reflect the extended 2027 ELS end date?
Thanks!

Hey hey! We renewed the ELS program so at this point you have another year. That doesn't mean you should wait longer to update, though, as you pay a bit more for the ELS license than a typical one.
