From one old server to a new one

I´m about to upgrade my server, the old one runs ubuntu 20.04.6 and cpanel 118.0.61, the new one is on AlmaLinux, without cpanel yet.

It is possible to install the same -old- cpanel version in the AlmaLinux server to -transfer tool- all the data from the old one to the new one and then update to the last cpanel version?

  Hey there!  No, there isn't a way to do this - it's best to start with the latest version of cPanel on the new machine.

  Are you sure?
  I thought it's possible to install older cPanel if before installation you create file /etc/cpupdate.conf and in that line:
  CPANEL=118

  118 isn't one of the available tiers at layer1.cpanel.net so I wouldn't expect that to work.

  Yes, tried it in AlmaLinux 9 and it says:
  "You cannot install versions of cPanel & WHM prior to cPanel & WHM version 125."
