Dovecot proxied requests failing after migrating accounts
Hi,
Transfered a few accounts to this server, now at cPanel Version 132.0.16, from 110.0.77 and the proxied dovecot requests are all returning failed authentication.

"imap-login: Disconnected: Connection closed (proxy dest auth failed):"

"imap-login: Login aborted: Connection closed (auth failed, 1 attempts in 2 secs) (auth_failed):"
These are 2 servers I've already migrated accounts in the same direction, with no issues. The is related to Cpanel update, for sure and to this issue (already resolved): https://support.cpanel.net/hc/en-us/community/posts/37017127486487-Exim-accepting-fake-logins
Also, did migration from this server 110.0.77 to another with 110.0.77, with no issues so that's why I'm guessing it's related to how dovecot replies to these proxied requests.
Direct requests to the destination server are working fine

Thanks! For the migrated accounts, the situations is now ok, as DNS propagated but we do have a few accounts that we don't control DNS so it's a more async change (we migrate and report to client), so, that is actually worrying me for the next couple of weeks, as I need to decommission a server.
Hopefully we'll get a fix before that. :)

The earliest possible day that a fix would go out is the 5th or 6th with the release pause, so I doubt you'll see anything over the next couple weeks. But...it's on their radar!

The 5th is ok. The 6th might be very tangent but we'll work with that.
