Can’t Upload Photos via cPanel – Need Advice
Hi everyone,
I’m running into some issues uploading photos to my website using cPanel and could really use some guidance. Here’s what’s happening:
-
File Upload Problems: Some images don’t upload properly. Either they don’t appear in File Manager at all, or they show up but won’t open when I try to view them.
-
File Size Limitations: Some of my photos are pretty large, and I’m worried this might be why they fail to upload. Does cPanel have a file size limit, and if so, what’s the easiest way to work around it?
-
Folder Permissions: I’m not sure if I’ve set the right permissions for the folders where my images are stored. How can I check this, and what should the settings be so images display correctly on my website?
-
File Types: I mainly use JPEG and PNG images. Are there any known issues with these file types in cPanel?
-
Slow Upload Speeds: Even when uploading smaller files, the process is really slow. Are there ways to speed this up, like using an FTP client or adjusting settings in cPanel?
Some context about my setup:
-
I’m using a web hosting service that provides cPanel.
-
My website is a photo gallery, so getting images uploaded and displayed properly is really important.
-
I’m not very tech-savvy, so I’d really appreciate simple, step-by-step instructions.
Thanks in advance for any tips or advice!

Hey there! None of the issues you've mentioned are part of the normal cPanel experience, as I would expect all those things to work seamlessly out of the box.
It would be best to have your hosting provider check the error logs related to your account to see if they can find any information on why you're having these issues. They would have root access to the machine so they could check the logs to determine the root cause.
