mail server responded: temporary local problem

Anyone else seeing this?

Mail sent through the server SMTP fails with "mail server responded: temporary local problem" when the recipient is NOT local, except SOME recipient domains work (ex: gmail, yahoo).

It's as though it can't sent to other servers except larger providers.

Things tried: restarting email services, restarting server, sending from other computers and (on-server) domains.

I will continue to try to narrow it down, but want to know if other users are seeing this. 

It appears to have begun today (possibly after upcp), so I'm wondering is exim is borked.

  .gov addresses also appear to be unaffected.

  Hey there!  I haven't heard of any Exim issues on my end, but Microsoft experienced some major outages today.

  That seems to have been the case. Mail now going out that previously wouldn't.

  Exim may have been having trouble reaching lots of domains. (DNS strikes again...)

  It's always an adventure when some of the larger tools like Outlook 365 or Cloudflare experience an issue!
