Ubuntu elevate dead end

cPanel alerted me that cPanel & WHM version 134 (my version) will be the last version that supports Ubuntu 22 and that I could use elevate to upgrade to ubuntu 24.

I was looking forward but then I realized that elevate can upgrade you from 22 to 24 but only if you run cPanel & WHM version 132.

If you are on 134, you're stuck there for ever? That doesn't make sense.

    Hey there!  I'm not aware of that version 132 limitation that you've mentioned.  Can you let me know where you're seeing that?

    Systems that run Ubuntu 22 must run cPanel & WHM version 132.

    I confirmed by running the script, it does require 132.

    Thanks for that - I confirmed this is the case and I've reached out to the ELevate team.  This is likely a simple fix, but I'll share any feedback I get as soon as I have it.

    Update - the ELevate team had me create case CPANEL-51334 to get this handled.  I've linked this thread to the case so I'll be sure to post once I have an update to share.

    Indeed, the message to update via elevate appeared after updating to 134 on Ubuntu 22, but it doesn't work because of that block. It's a bit inconvenient, but I hope it gets resolved soon.

    Not yet - it seems the team is working on this as part of the next major ELevate update.

    I've just encountered this issue as well, so I'm please to see it's going to be fixed.

    My system is running in an Azure VM.  Where can I find out if that could cause any other issues?

    I'm not sure what I mean either!  Ideally, it would be nice to hear from someone who's successfully elevated Ubuntu in an Azure VM.

    It's worked well in the past, but with the way the tiers are with cPanel right now it's not going to be possible until this issue is resolved.

    Update - this is now fixed and will be included in the next version of ELevate when that is released!  I would expect that to be later this week or next week.

    I see version 80 that fixes it is online. Ok, finger crossed I will try it sooon!
