Unable to access database

I received an email today stating my data was almost full. 

I logged in and permanently deleted some files to free up disk space but my website is now unable to access the database.  

I have tried restoring a backup, but that was only able to partially complete. 

What have I done wrong? Is there any way to recover my website?

  Hey there!  It would depend on what files you've deleted.  The best thing to do in this situation would be to contact your hosting provider and have them restore that backup for you as the root user.  That would ensure things are done correctly and keep things from being partially complete.

  cPRex Thank you for the reply. I have contacted my hosting provider who have restored the database and recovered the website. So relieved, I thought I had lost if forever!
