Hey there!  The easiest option would be to back up your current configuration files, remove CSF from the system, and download the new version directly from cPanel:

    https://docs.cpanel.net/knowledge-base/security/additional-security-software/#configserver-security--firewall-csf

    Thank you cPRex.

Is it enough to copy csf.allow, csf.ignore, csf.pignore, csf.deny, csf.redirect and csf.conf located in the /etc/csf directory? anything else that i should back up?

To uninstall CSF is it enough running uninstall.sh? and then, to install the new version just running yum install cpanel-csf?

Thank you again for your help.

Yes, that all sounds like an excellent plan to me.  To make things even easier you could just copy of all /etc/csf over to /root just so you can be sure you didn't miss anything.

    Thank you cPRex.

New version (csf: v16.12) installed and running. So far no issues. What about the updates?

    Thanks and regards.

Since this is distributed as a package the updates happen automatically when your server performs the typical nightly maintenance.
