Can't update from 110.0.50 with Centos7

RG

Can't update from 110.0.50, have Centos7 with TuxCare still.

cpanel upgrade gets stuck at:

Sysup: Needed system packages were not installed: boost169-program-options, libzstd

To fix this with 'yum install epel-release' fails, because the repos are dead...

Anyone have similar experience to upgrade past 110.0.50 on old system?

    Hey there!  You'll likely need to update the system to use the vault repos as outlined here:

    https://support.cpanel.net/hc/en-us/articles/24571139547415-Could-not-retrieve-mirrorlist-http-mirrorlist-centos-org-on-CentOS-7

    Can you try that and see if you get better results on the system update?

    Thank you!

    The autofixer didn't appear to make any changes, but manual replace steps worked to install epel-release, and then cpanel upcp was able to install what it needed and update from 110.0.50 to 110.0.97

    Curious Too - it sounds like a potentially bad mirror in your cache.  Can you run the following to see if that gets the updates working?

    That's odd - I confirmed those mirrors are working normally.

    I resolved this by running this command (different server):

    whmapi1 set_tier tier=11.110

    The ticket is still open because I re-loaded the server but cPanel wouldn't install after the reload.

    Neozac - could you share the specific error messages you're receiving when you try to update?  Also, have you enabled the Vault repositories for CentOS 7?

    The autorepair script may not be enough to make the changes.  Can you try the other details in that article to see if manually doing those will help you?
