WP Toolkit access - Get WP Toolkit plugin for WordPress
Installed and instantly hit by a paywall.
I did not OK a pay-to-play service in my client's control panel.
Who is getting this money from my clients?

As far as I can tell, the WP Toolkit plugin is nothing but a thin wrapper for selling a subscription to WP Guardian.
WP Guardian (a cPanel addon) pricing in the cPanel store is structured by site volume, typically starting at $22/month for 10 sites, with higher tiers like 30 sites for $66/month or 100 sites for $220/month. It provides AI-powered security, virtual patching, and includes WP Toolkit Deluxe...0 -
I did hear back from the team and have a few additional details to share.
If your license came from a cPanel Partner, they have the option to adjust this on their side so this doesn't show at all.
If your license is purchased directly from cPanel you can adjust this through the WP Toolkit configuration ini file by performing the following:
- Create the file:
cp -v /usr/local/cpanel/3rdparty/wp-toolkit/var/etc/config.ini.sample /usr/local/cpanel/3rdparty/wp-toolkit/var/etc/config.ini
- Add the following option to that file:
virtualPatchesLicensingForEndCustomers=false
Once this is in place that link will not appear to end users.
Let me know if that helps!
