Server is trying to boot into the OS but drops into emergency mode

Hi,

Our unmanaged Almalinux server has suddenly gone offline. The advice from the hosting company is as follows...

The server is trying to boot into the OS but drops into emergency mode, I have tried to boot to other kernels to see if this will allow access but this has not resolved the case.

I have booted the server into a rescue image so you can access the server to check it further.

So I am essentially absolutely none the wiser at this point. I can access the rescue image via SSH but I always use WHM to administrate the server, so I have no idea what to do with SSH.

  Hey there!  It's possible another user will give you some advice on this, but if the server isn't booting properly and has to be in emergency mode that indicates an issue deeper than the cPanel software, so I won't be of any help there.

  It would be good to know why it drops into emergency. Do you have KVM (console) access? If so try to watch the boot process and see the reason for it. Usually it doesn't find the disk to boot from.
