can not login as root when entering a user’s cPanel via WHM

Since 136.0.22 update, I can no longer log in to a user's cPanel via WHM as root. It is showing a "The login is invalid." error and prompting me for a password like a normal user.

Help / suggestions to resolve this.

  Hi,
  I have the same issue and seems in my case this solved it: 
  chmod 711  /var/cpanel/sessions
  

  rm -rf /var/cpanel/sessions/*
  

  service cpanel restart

  Logging out of WHM and then logging back in should also get you a new session that doesn't experience the issue.
