You do not have the feature “apitokens” when using Transfer Tool
Hello,
I am attempting to use the transfer tool to copy a cpmove file from a remote cpanel account (no root access) to our server with full root access using the Transfer Tool.
The cpmove file is successfully created on the remote cpanel box and successfully transferred with "Completed TRANSFER 100%" to ours.
However, it's the restore that is failing with "You do not have the feature “apitokens”. at /usr/local/cpanel/Cpanel/RemoteAPI/cPanel/TemporaryToken.pm line 108."
The following suggests the transfer succeeded but there is an issue on our server?
Summary
TRANSFER: 1 completed, 0 had warnings, and 0 failed.
RESTORE: 0 completed, 0 had warnings, and 1 failed.
RESTORE: Account “cpxxxxxx”: “cpxxxxx” failed to create a temporary API token “cpmove_2026-06-15T10_37_44Z_34f0xxxxx” on “remote address”: You do not have the feature “apitokens”. at /usr/local/cpanel/Cpanel/RemoteAPI/cPanel/TemporaryToken.pm line 108.
I went to the feature manager for the "default package" to enable api tokens (assume wildly that the default is the package used when there is no matching package on restore?).
Pretty much everything is enabled for the default package in the Feature Manager except for api tokens which is greyed out with a red disabled pill adjacent to it.
I am unable to find out why it's disabled and how unable to find how to enable it and searching has not yielded a solution - so here I am.
I have read https://support.cpanel.net/hc/en-us/articles/360061575213-Failed-to-create-a-temporary-API-token-on-account-transfer however; in our case it's the restore not the create on the source that's failing.
Can someone help me please?
Thank you.

To add to this I've just tried to use the "backup" tool within the user's cpanel account at crazy domains.
I figured something was amiss when the 3.7GB of disk usage was backed up swiftly and produced a backup file of 353kb!
There's hardly anything in the backup file, no mail, no public_html, the mysql directory has an sql file with tables only - as such there's literally nothing to restore. I suspect this could be why the transfer was failing as outlined above because the transfer completed in no time at all.

I would say that's definitely the issue! The user may need to contact the admin on the source side to see why it isn't backing up all the data properly.
Also, do you happen to know the cPanel version on the Source machine?

cPRex
There are two accounts, both independent of each other, both with the same company and both exhibiting the same behaviour. I tried a Full Back Up on each of them with the same outcome.
One is running 110.0.121 and the other 118.0.70
I'll get the client to get in touch with them.
Thanks for your help.
