How to install mod_xsendfile on cPanel 136

Hi!

A client require the mod_xsendfile to be installed on the server. I checked on the forums, and the procedure explained does not work anymore. Any help on how to install this module would be appreciated.

  Hey there!  I checked this on a test system and the following instructions worked well to get that package installed:

  yum install ea4-experimental
  yum install ea-apache24-mod_xsendfile
  

  Can you try that and let me know if you run into any issues?

  Here's the result

  [root@io ~]# yum install ea4-experimental
  Last metadata expiration check: 0:04:29 ago on Tue 30 Jun 2026 11:45:29 AM EDT.
  No match for argument: ea4-experimental
  Error: Unable to find a match: ea4-experimental
  [root@io ~]# yum install ea-apache24-mod_xsendfile
  Last metadata expiration check: 0:04:49 ago on Tue 30 Jun 2026 11:45:29 AM EDT.
  No match for argument: ea-apache24-mod_xsendfile
  Error: Unable to find a match: ea-apache24-mod_xsendfile

  Sure. AlmaLinux v9.8.0 STANDARD standard.

  Thanks for the additional details.  Unfortunately those packages are no longer supported on AlmaLinux 9, and there is some more detail in this thread from last year about this:
