Azure install
We're a small MSP and one of our clients wants a cPanel install in Azure. Noting cPanels very clear and serious warning that you should only use the Marketplace offering, I've tried to deploy this but it's not available on CSP managed Azure subscriptions.
As our client really wants cPanel, can anyone clarify the warning that "some" settings will be wrong if we perform a manual install on a bare Linux V<? I don't want to waste the client's time and money providing a broken and unsupported service? Will cPanel be supported in this configuration, or will it be considered unsupported?

Hey there! Some settings will be wrong is a nice way to say "you're on your own, don't do this."
Just to confirm, you're not able to use the image here to set this up? https://marketplace.microsoft.com/en-us/product/cpanel.cpanel?tab=Overview

that's correct, we can choose it and go through the deployment but it fails at validation as it's unavailable on a CSP subscription.
I've installed it on plain Ubuntu VM and it seems to be working, but as I'm not familiar with cPanel I wouldn't know anyway. I've handed it over to the client who will be actually using cPanel to test with the 15 day trial so I'm sure we'll hear back if it doesn't work.0
