Suggestion: Targeted Security Releases
When you do targeted security releases for cPanel (/usr/local/cpanel/scripts/upcp --security), could you possibly exclude the repos (/usr/local/cpanel/scripts/update-packages)?
We have noticed that a number of the repos just can't cope with all the simultaneous traffic from ALL cPanel installations over the hour period. We then land up running upcp again after the rush is over.
The packages can update as part of the daily cron? I also don't think these security releases are for those packages, but rather for cPanel itself. I of course understand, like what happened last week, where your targeted security release was for a particular package (cpane-csf), then in that case target the package you would like to update in the security run.

Hey there! This has been discussed a few times and it's not something we want to change. We don't want to potentially leave a server in a state where there could be package conflicts.
Most of the repo issues have been from CloudLinux, and after the last security release we saw MUCH better responses from their repositories.
