Vestigial events in calendar
I've been really happy since converting our (discontinued) Mac OS Server-based family calendar system to the native cPanel implementation on our private server over a year ago. There are (only) two nagging items.
The first is a feature suggestion. The Mac calendar system had a "private" checkbox in a calendar event. To the best of my knowledge, it meant that alarm notifications were sent ONLY to the owner of that calendar, not anybody with viewing access to that calendar. It disappeared from the calendar events when we moved to cPanel. It would be nice to have cPanel implement that feature. For example, when one person has a medical appointment to get to, it would be nice if everyone else on the server who shares (views) his calendar didn't get his alert alarms, especially if he likes to set two or three.
The second seems to be a bug. When you create a new event, OS X Calendar creates a "New Event" on the user's default calendar. The user types in the actual event name, maybe corrects it to be on a more appropriate calendar, maybe makes the event longer than the default hour, or nudges it a bit forward or backward to align it properly to the correct time. And as far as he can see, the result is perfect.
But everyone else sees the final version of the event, PLUS the original "New Event" on the original calendar at the original time. (I don't know why the originator doesn't see it, but he doesn't). This behavior happens only on the cPanel calendar system, it's never occurred anywhere else. Is it possible the system is not properly abandoning the original event when it replaces it with the edited event?
Thanks for your help.

Hey there! I went ahead and submitted the private calendar event feature through our features site over at features.cpanel.net and I'll be sure to bring that up with the team during the next meeting.
For the issue with the duplicate event, could you create a ticket on this so our team can take a look?

I chased all the breadcrumbs to remember how to create a ticket, ended up in WHM, and got told that feature "is only available if you have purchased a license directly from cPanel." Is there a side door somewhere?

Email cs@cpanel.net and mention me and I'll get this one handled for you.
