Locale missing in webmail ?
The Webmail home page in the Jupiter theme displays feature titles in English when the selected language is Polish. Section headings and feature descriptions are correctly translated.
Affected titles include:
-
Autoresponders
-
Email Filters
-
Forwarders
-
Calendars and Contacts Management
-
Calendars and Contacts Configuration
-
Calendars and Contacts Sharing
-
Password & Security
-
Contact Information
-
Two-Factor Authentication
I imported a custom Polish locale, ran /usr/local/cpanel/bin/build_locale_databases, and logged out and back in. The issue persists.
Direct translation lookups using Cpanel::Locale->get_handle("pl")->maketext() return the correct Polish translations:
Autoresponders => Automatyczne odpowiedzi
Email Filters => Filtry poczty e-mail
Forwarders => Przekierowania poczty
Contact Information => Informacje kontaktowe
The template at:
/usr/local/cpanel/base/webmail/jupiter/mail/mailconfiglist.html.tt
renders feature titles as:
<div class="application-title">[% page.value.name %]</div>
Feature descriptions and section headings explicitly use locale.maketext(). The sitemap is populated through Branding::get_information_for_applications, but the feature names displayed on this page remain in English.
Could you investigate whether these names should be translated by the Branding API or by the Webmail template? Please confirm whether this is a known issue and whether a supported fix is available.
I would prefer a supported solution rather than modifying cPanel’s shipped templates, which may be overwritten during updates.
A screenshot showing the English titles alongside Polish descriptions is attached.
Thank you.

Hey there! Yes, this is a known issue that our developers are working on as part of case CPANEL-41634. It's an older case but I have reached out to our team to see if we can get some progress on that. I've also linked this thread to the case so if I hear any updates on my end I'll be sure to post!
