Security problem with new AI feature cPanel
Hello,
As we know, AI is now also available in cPanel with the new meridian theme.
The AI assistant itself is not a problem for me as an administrator. My main concern is connecting a cPanel account to an external chatbot such as Claude AI.
As server administrators, we need to make sure that everything is properly secured and, most importantly, stable and reliable.
At the moment, giving a chatbot access to the entire server through the MCP protocol creates a potential security risk. As we know, AI can also be used to create many exploits. If a chatbot is connected to a server, it may be able to access and learn various information about the server. Of course, it does not have root access, but it can still read some configuration and other information.
Will there be an option to disable the MCP protocol, or is there already a way to disable it?
We would like to make the Meridian theme available to our users, but without allowing them to use MCP.
Could you please clarify whether MCP can be completely disabled by the administrator?

Hey there! Yes, you can disable this through the Feature Manager/Package system so users don't have this ability. Here's a screenshot from the WHM >> Feature Manager page showing this option:
