Fixed CPANEL-56561: The hourly upcp --security cron job no longer sends its output by email.
Well, well, well. Going out of your way to make sure we have as little information at our fingertips as possible. It was bad enough that you guys canned the normal upcp post-processing e-mails. It's easy enough to delay mailing that manually, but is an annoying and unnecessary step.
BUT… An emergency upcp update that comes down the pipe? You'd think you guys would recognize that none of us want those unexpected, unscheduled events to slip through the cracks unnoticed. I'd really appreciate it if you'd just stop making it more difficult to know what's going on.
Grumpy? Yes, I am. This is not an improvement. You guys don't even update the softlink to the latest logfile AFTER the update is complete. No, you do it when the file is opened for writing.

Hey there! I don't think this tool is working the way you think it does. This case was designed to fix the cron itself from reporting output that it shouldn't as we just missed adding /dev/null to the output. If you check the crons on the system, you'll see they now match up:
# crontab -l | grep upcp
34 5 * * * (/usr/local/cpanel/scripts/fix-cpanel-perl; /usr/local/cpanel/scripts/upcp --cron > /dev/null)
33 * * * * /usr/local/cpanel/scripts/upcp --security > /dev/nullThis doesn't change the email notification when an actual update happens.
