If its set to remote, then exim is going to reject it regardless. I'm not clear how you are expecting to split the mail delivery exactly. Can you elaborate on how you are expecting that to work?

What's the setting in the dns zone under mail exchanger? If its set to remote, then it is going to always reject the emails for that domain regardless if the account exists or not.

I would definitely not try to upgrade your centos in place. You will need to get a new server with centos 7 on it with cpanel, and use the transfer tool to move the sites over.

Doing what you are suggesting is not possible afaik. Ports are either open or closed in the firewall, it cant make a distinction between a server connection and a client connection.

Here's a bit more clarity. in /var/log/messages, ftp actions are logged. grep pure-ftpd /var/log/messages It clearly has entries like Dec 18 08:36:09 corp pure-ftpd: () [NOTICE] /home/xxxxxxx...

That's the folder the ftp logs are in. If you are dealing with domain.com then the ftp log is ftp.domain.com . Not sure what else you need to know?
