cPanel Partners have access to Autoscale License packages that automatically scale to the needs of your business. cPanel offers two versions of the Autoscale License, Autoscale and Autoscale Cloud.

Autoscale Cloud
The cPanel Autoscale Cloud (Internal) license is the cloud version that should be used on a VPS/Cloud server. The cloud version will auto-scale to the appropriate cloud license tiers shown below.

NOTE: If you use the Autoscale Metal version on a VPS/Cloud server, it will not auto-scale to the Cloud license tiers. Instead, you will be billed for a Premier Metal license. You can change a license type in Manage2 using the Add License interface.
Autoscale Metal
The cPanel Autoscale (Internal) license is the metal version and must be used on a dedicated server. cPanel does not offer Metal tiered licenses. This license will auto-scale to a cPanel Premier Metal license as shown below:

How to change a license package in Manage2
- Login to Manage2 at: https://manage2.cpanel.net/
- Go to Add License
- Select a Group
- Select Package Type
- Enter IP address
- Click "Add Licenses"
- A message will appear:- This IP is already actively licensed with a (license package). Ignore the warning if you wish to replace it with a new (license package).
- Check the box that says Ignore warnings and force the activations
- Click "Add Licenses"
Solo Licenses
The Autoscale licenses will not autoscale to a Solo license. You must activate the appropriate Solo license package for servers that are using one cPanel account. For more information on how to qualify for the Solo licenses, go to: Partner Solo Licenses
