Understanding Autoscale License Packages
cPanel Partners have access to Autoscale License packages that dynamically scale to match your server’s account usage. These packages are available in two types: Autoscale Metal for dedicated servers, and Autoscale Cloud for virtualized or cloud environments.
Autoscale Metal vs. Autoscale Cloud
Package | Description |
---|---|
Autoscale Metal | Designed for physical dedicated servers. |
Autoscale Cloud | Intended for VPS or Cloud environments. |
Autoscale Cloud
The Autoscale Cloud (Internal) license automatically adjusts to match your account usage on a VPS or cloud server. This helps partners avoid manual upgrades as server needs grow.
cPanel Cloud License Tiers for Partners
License Type | Account Range |
---|---|
cPanel Admin Cloud | 2–5 accounts |
cPanel Pro Cloud | 6–30 accounts |
cPanel Plus Cloud | 31–50 accounts |
cPanel Premier Cloud | 100+ accounts |
Note: Using an Autoscale Metal license on a cloud or VPS server will not autoscale. Instead, you will be billed for a Premier Metal license. To update your license type, visit the Add License interface in Manage2.
