Upgrading from CloudLinux 7 to CloudLinux 8 fails due to the cPanel-banner-plugin numbering.
Description
Upgrading CloudLinux 7 to 8 may error due to a numbering difference with the cPanel-banner-plugn.
* 2025-04-16 11:24:07 (9939) [INFO] Installed package cpanel-banners-plugin-1.0.0-9.14.1.cpanel.noarch not available.
* 2025-04-16 11:24:07 (9939) [INFO] Error: No packages marked for reinstall.
We've opened an internal case for our development team to investigate this further. For reference, the case number is RE-1524. Follow this article to receive an email notification when a solution is published in the product.
Workaround
rpm -e --justdb --nodeps cpanel-banner-plugin
