cPanel licenses that are purchased in the cPanel store are paid through the last day of the month. A license transfer request will be placed on "hold" and it will be processed at the end of the license term on the last day of the month.
NOTE: If a license was purchased from cPanel within the past 72 hours, please contact Customer Service to request to cancel and refund the license. After the license is canceled, contact the Partner directly to purchase a new license.
To request a license transfer, use the below steps:
- Contact the Partner to request a license transfer.
- The Partner will need to perform the below steps in their Manage2 account at: https://manage2.cpanel.net
- In Manage2 go to "Add License"
- Select the Group
- Select the license Package
- Enter the IP address you wish to assign the package to.
- Click "Add License"
- A warning message will appear as shown below:
- The Partner will click "request a transfer"
- Partner should repeat the steps for additional licenses such as, cPanel Addon licenses.
After the request is submitted, both parties will receive an email notification. Customer Service will complete the request on the last day of the month. An email notification will be sent to both parties confirming the license transfer.
NOTE for Addon Licenses: If a store customer has Addon licenses and wish to keep them with cPanel do the following:
- Contact Customer Service at cs@cpanel.net to covert the Addon license to an Extension. The Extension licenses are stand-alone licenses. This will prevent the licenses from expiring when the cPanel license is transferred to the Partner.
