Introduction
This tutorial is intended to explain the process of configuring your domain to route it's mail through Google's G Suite within a cPanel environment.
Procedure
Within WHM you will first need to navigate to DNS Zone Manager. Here you may manage the DNS of your individual domains, including the domains MX records.
First, remove any previously configured MX records for the domain. Once removed, you'll be able to create new MX records by following the steps posted below:
Add a DNS zone record
To add a DNS zone record, perform the following steps:
-
Click Manage next to the domain you want to modify.
-
Click Add Record. You can also click the arrow icon (
) and select the desired record type (MX) from the list.
-
Enter the record information.
-
Click Add Record.
The MX records you'll add are the following:
MX server address | Priority |
ASPMX.L.GOOGLE.COM | 1 |
ALT1.ASPMX.L.GOOGLE.COM | 5 |
ALT2.ASPMX.L.GOOGLE.COM | 5 |
ALT3.ASPMX.L.GOOGLE.COM | 10 |
ALT4.ASPMX.L.GOOGLE.COM |
10 |
Finally, you may tell Google to find the new MX records by following the steps provided within their documentation here.
Once complete, your domain's mail will now be handled by Google's G Suite.
