Git Version control fatal: Could not read from remote repository

Symptoms

Attempting to set up a private repository failed with a fatal error.

Error: (XID 3trgev) /usr/local/cpanel/3rdparty/bin/git
reported error code 128 when it ended:
Warning: Permanently added 'github.com' (RSA) to the list of known hosts. 
Permission denied (publickey). 
fatal: Could not read from remote repository. 
Please make sure you have the correct access rights and 
the repository exists.

Description 

Private repositories can require access keys to log in or access it from a remote system. When the authentication key fails or isn't configured, this fatal error will occur.

Solution

Configuring the access key will resolve the issue. The cPanel documentation is an excellent resource to determine which steps are required to configure the access key.
