How do I check for missing and/or altered cPanel rpm/deb packages?

Introduction

How can I check and reinstall an RPM for cPanel that is missing, altered, or not yet installed? 

Procedure

To reinstall or install missing packages, you can run the following from the command line:

/scripts/check_cpanel_pkgs

On cPanel v98 and below, the script is:

/scripts/check_cpanel_rpms
