Prepare Your cPanel Server for the ConfigServer Shutdown
Question
The ConfigServer Firewall is a third-party software firewall. As such, its packages and functionality are not managed by the cPanel Software. If you find issues with the ConfigServer Firewall or if it hinders the cPanel Software in any way, we may ask that you disable it for troubleshooting purposes.
Answer
To disable CSF, choose one of the following:
- Access your server via SSH as the root user and run the following command:
# csf -x
- Access your server via WHM as the root user, navigate to "ConfigServer Security & Firewall" and select "Firewall Disable"
To enable CSF again, choose one of the following:
- Access your server via SSH as the root user and run the following command:
# csf -e
- Access your server via WHM as the root user, navigate to "ConfigServer Security & Firewall" and select "Firewall Enable"
