Introduction
ConfigServer Firewall is a third-party firewall software. As this is the case, its packages and functionality are not managed by the cPanel Software. If you find that there are issues with the ConfigServer Firewall, or it hinders the cPanel Software by any means, then we may ask that you disable it for troubleshooting purposes.
Procedure
To disable CSF, choose one of the following:
- Access your server via SSH as the root user and run the following command:
csf -x
- Access your server via WHM as the root user, navigate to "ConfigServer Security & Firewall" and select "Firewall Disable"
To enable CSF again, choose one of the following:
- Access your server via SSH as the root user and run the following command:
csf -e
- Access your server via WHM as the root user, navigate to "ConfigServer Security & Firewall" and select "Firewall Enable"
