Is there a way to disable the automatically generated and assigned hostnames during installation?

Answer

At this time, the only way to avoid having your server issued a cprapid.com hostname would be to ensure that the hostname you want to use for the server resolves properly before you run the cPanel installation. The cprapid.com hostnames are only issued if the hostname does not resolve, and is done so that a free signed SSL can be issued for the hostname.
