How to remove two-factor authentication from the command line

If for whatever reason you lose the ability to provide the code required for two-factor authentication to WHM, it may be necessary to remove it so that access can be regained. This article covers removing two-factor authentication from the command line for the root user.

Answer

Run the following command in SSH or Terminal as the 'root' user.

# whmapi1 twofactorauth_remove_user_config user=root
