How do you remove an additional IP address from WHM?

Answer

Note: The following steps cannot remove the server's primary IP, as this is not configured or added through the cPanel software.

To remove an additional IP address, you will first need to ensure it is not in use by any account. If a cPanel account or nameserver is currently assigned to this address, it will need to be moved to a different one first. If an IP address is in use, it will be listed in the Notes column of the WHM interface:

Show or Delete Current IP Addresses

To delete an additional IP(s), you can follow the steps below.

1. Log in to WHM as root
2. Navigate to Home / IP Functions / Show or Delete Current IP Addresses

3. Click the Delete button next to the IP you wish to remove

   Note: If the button is not visible this means the IP is in use!
