Symptoms
When a cPanel user account has a wildcard SSL certificate installed for the same primary domain as the server’s hostname, Dovecot incorrectly loads the user’s wildcard certificate instead of the hostname SSL certificate.

We've opened an internal case for our development team to investigate this further. For reference, the case number is CPANEL-53103. Follow this article to receive an email notification when a solution is published in the product.
Workaround
Remove the wildcard certificate if it conflicts with the expected hostname certificate.
