Symptoms
In WHM's View "Bandwidth Usage," you may find that bandwidth usage is showing as zero for all or some accounts on the server, or you may find the following message in bright red lettering in "Statistics Software Configuration."
The server is having trouble keeping up with your statistics processing schedule. You should increase the time between statistic generation, or upgrade the server. If you have recently decreased the time between statistic generation, you may wish to wait that amount of time to see if the server will catch up before changing back.
You may also find messages similar to the following in the /usr/local/cpanel/logs/stats_log
log file.
[2021-06-13 00:33:00 +1200] logrunner (Sun Jun 13 00:33:00 2021): System load is currently 4.39; waiting for it to go down below 0.88 to continue …
Alternatively, the server's contact email address may find a notification with a subject similar to the following.
Statistics processing for 5 users is lagging
Description
If the server is overloaded and does not have sufficient CPU resources, cPanel will pause statistics processing because it can be a very CPU-intensive process. This helps to avoid problems where processing bandwidth data can impact server stability due to the added CPU load. While this will help to reduce server failure, this can also result in no statistics data being available for review.
Workaround
To resolve this issue, you must either increase the CPU resources available to the server or reduce the CPU usage to acceptable levels for your servers available hardware.
Please note that reducing CPU usage may require a systems administrator who has the skills, training, and expertise required to diagnose the cause of the high CPU usage and implement a plan to reduce the usage.
