How-To Synchronize CloudLinux Quotas with Caching

Introduction

The CloudLinux cl-quota utility will automatically run on a cron to synchronize the quota cache data. Sometimes it may be necessary to run it manually to synchronize the data before the cron executes, such as if the Inode usage shows incorrectly in cPanel.

Procedure

If you find that quota cache data is out of sync on a CloudLinux server, you can run the following command:

cl-quota -YC

The command forces the sync to occur, and if the issue was due to cached data, the updated values should be reflected in cPanel for the user now.
