Transfer Tool "Live Transfer" option did not update all A records on source server

Symptoms

When using Transfer Tool with Live Transfer, it can be observed the A records didn't update on the source server.

CONFIG_TEXT: [xferpoint] Updating IP addresses in DNS …
The system updated “2” entries.

Usually, Live Transfer will update about nine records.

Cause

WHM Transfer Tool uses Live Transfer to ensure the accounts can be made live on the new destination server. When a cPanel account uses a custom DNS A record on the source server, the Live Transfer doesn't update the A records on the source server. At this time, it is unclear if this is functioning as intended.

We've opened an internal case for our development team to investigate this further. For reference, the case number is CPANEL-45398. Follow this article to receive an email notification when a solution is published in the product. 

Resolution

Update the A records on the source server in DNS Zone Manager.
