Security Advisor recommending KernelCare Symlink Protection on unsupported kernels

Symptoms

When attempting to use the Security Advisor GUI to install KernelCare, the page simply refreshes upon attempt without applying the free Symlink Protection patch.

Description

Kernels that are not supported by KernelCare will still receive a Security Advisor recommendation to install KernelCare and apply the free patch for Symlink Protection.

Security Advisor shouldn't be recommending the installation as the kernel is not supported by KernelCare.

We've opened an internal case for our development team to investigate this further. For reference, the case number is CPANEL-41273. Follow this article to receive an email notification when a solution is published in the product. 

Workaround

Unfortunately, there currently is no known workaround for this reported issue.
