Can I remove files in '/home/user/tmp/' to reduce disk usage?

Answer

It should be safe to remove any files that were unintentionally placed there from a user's tmp folder. 

Please note that some services and applications will use the tmp folder for storage. This may include some of cPanel's provided stat analyzers as well as PHP applications configured under the user. Before you remove any data, please look over the files so you know what you are deleting.
