Cannot create a domain alias
Hi,
Newly created CPanel server. Just has 2-3 accounts at the moment. Trying to create a domain alias but it renders out an error about DNS and IP issue(s).
"There was an error when the system attempted to create the alias. (XID sc6458) This domain points to an IP address that does not use the DNS servers associated with this server. Transfer the domain to this server"s nameservers at the domain"s registrar or update your system to recognize the current DNS servers. To do this, use WHM"s Configure Remote Service IPs interface."
There is a DNS already created for the said domain and is pointed to the said server. Server has a shared IP. Not sure what we might have missed when creating the CPanel server. Any thoughts?

Thank you for the info @cPRex. That solved adding/creating the domain alias. But it won't allow me to redirect. There was an error adding the redirect. (XID a795a2) The system failed to set the user ID to "1000" and the group ID to "504" on "GLOB(0x3051e10)" because of an error: Operation not permitted I'm guessing there's a feature that needs to be enabled. 0 -
That's interesting, as that sounds like a permissions or ownership issue on the system. Do you see anything in /usr/local/cpanel/logs/error_log when you try that work? 0
