Undesired Forced Jupiter Update
I REALLY want cPanel to just forget about forcing the junky Jupiter theme onto us. At worst you should continue to offer and support them both. If the end user cPanel is anything like WHM's then its doomed to die and make many clients rethink their hosting options.
It is nearly impossible to theme to our site's/company's designs and is even worse for ease of use for our customers (Not to mention all the existing support docs/vids that use Paper Lantern will have to be replaced at, in many cases, great expense)
When is the 'theming' for jupiter going to allow .png over svg logos? Also as many others have mentioned, the icons need to reflect previous versions for those who have "muscle memory'd" them.
I'm sure there are many other little gotchas that I'm missing but this is a start..

Hey there! At this time we don't plan to add support for png files as we're moving completely into svg territory. SVG allows faster download speeds, scaling, and potential for future dark modes, which is why we are making that change. The Jupiter interface for cPanel will be nearly identical to what you see in WHM. If you'd like to keep your users on Paper Lantern for a while, you can find more details on that here: 0 -
Can we not just go back to efficient "x3"? 0 -
@ejsolutions - Once your system updates to version 102 you will have the new interface in WHM. You can still have the old interface in cPanel accounts until version 108. 0 -
but the short story is you have until version 108 before it's removed.
for how long will version 108 be supported?0 -
If everything is on schedule, version 108 will likely be released near the end of this year. It's important to note it will be removed in version 108, so 106 is the last version where it will be an option. 106 support will likely end near the end of this year as 108 works up through the teirs. Version 102 is likely going to LTS today, so that will be supported for at least a year, until the next LTS version takes its place. 0 -
This really will cost productivity and redoing lots of videos and images and FAQ/KB sections. I am sure cPanel management had that in mind.. 0 -
We're paying magnitudes more for magnitudes less... it's very frustrating. Gone is the ability to customize the theme for matching our branding, now it's just "pick a background color and upload a logo". Previously, I could change all sorts of things and customize to make the interface useful for my clients. Now I'll have to explain to them why prices are going up but the software is harder to use. All the monotone style of Jupiter makes it impossible to quickly find things, and the icons are HORRIBLE. It looks like someone got the cheapest deal on fivver. Minimum capabilities for a supposedly new and improved theme would be the ability to customize background color and image, icon images, and menu options. 0 -
I agree with all of the dissatisfied people here. WHY oh WHY OH WHY do we need a new theme that is : 1) Fugly 2) Unwanted 3) Unflexible At least Here is my suggestion: 1) Fire the UX devs for they clearly have no clue 2) Give us - your customers - the USERS - the choice (gasp) in what theme to run FFS 3) Allow us to add our own theme / template, simply that doesn't get overwritten Wow *holds breath for a very long time and perishes* 0
