Proper way to disable Jupiter theme
Is there a proper way of disabling the Jupiter theme? As in not making it available to be attached to packages or selected when creating a new account?
Or is just removing the /usr/local/cpanel/base/frontend/jupiter directory the only way?
Beginning my move over from cPanel 94 to cPanel 102 in the TLS branch. I haven't read a lot about Jupiter. I do seem to recall a lot of sighing from having to switch to Jupiter starting with cPanel 108.
Right now, just to ease the migration from cPanel 94 to cPanel 102 - I just really don't want to deal with Jupiter at this time. I've added some slight customizations to paper_lantern on our servers and I just don't want to have to deal with translating those over to Jupiter (actually not even sure if I can).
For the moment I'd just prefer to keep everything with paper_lantern - and not allowing resellers to select the Jupiter theme for their packages or accounts.

Hey hey! I'm not sure there's a way to completely disable it, but you can just ensure your packages all have Paper Lantern configured and then they won't be switched. 0 -
Yea, but that doesn't prevent resellers from being able to select Jupiter for their packages and when creating accounts. I'll just remove the directory, that takes it out of the selection menu. 0 -
The directly will likely get recreated with the nightly updates, though, unless you also disable those. 0 -
Yea, auto updates are disabled. 0
