Hey there! I don't believe the error is saying that you need to change the repo - it's saying the presence of these packages on the system can cause issues with the ELevate process. Can you remove those packages from the system before running ELevate and then reinstall them if you're using them?

Not that I use them, but Azure does. Judging by

I went through the process of removing blocking packages (WALinuxAgent.noarch, azure-repo-svc.noarch) and disabling the openlogic repo in my server. It further required renaming /etc/yum.repos.d/OpenLogicCentOS.repo to clear a subsequent elevate blocker (duplicate repo definitions). After this all blockers cleared and the elevate script offered to proceed. I wasn't ready so declined to proceed. After reversing the steps above, the server ended up in an unstable state that required recovery from a snapshot. Kinda stuck because reversing steps after elevation would be required, otherwise Azure services such as snapshot backups won't work. If anybody has succeeded elevating in Azure, I'd appreciate some guidance.

  • Hi,

It appears that our developers are aware of this issue and have created a blocker for it. Unfortunately, there is currently no known workaround, and removing and re-installing these RPMs may lead to data loss.

You can find the discussion regarding this issue blow, our developers will update the following issue once progress has been made:

Is there a way to transfer my cPanel & WHM v110.0.36 (STANDARD)  to a retooled server running AlmaLinux? E.g. creating a WHM full backup (accounts, system files, per-account SQL dB'a), re-imaging the server to AlmaLinux (see snippet below), and finally restoring the backup into the new OS. Or something along those lines.

    Translate

You can setup a new server running AlmaLinux then using Transfer Tools copy over all accounts and configurations settings.
