ioncube 13 support centos 7

Hello A while ago, ioncube 13 support for php 8.1 and php 8.2 was added to easyapache 4 rpms, but our Centos 7 servers still have ioncube 12 version for php 8.1, and there is still no ioncube support for php 8.2. Later, when I looked at the easyapache 4 centos 7 mirror list repos, I saw that there were no ioncube 13 files. There were ioncube 13 files in the rhel 8 mirror repositories. Will cpanel not load the ioncube 13 repos for centos 7 or is this an accidental mistake?

    I confirmed with our team that we are not adding packages to CentOS 7 at this point, so that is why you aren't finding it.

    Considering that Cpanel supports Centos 7 until 2024, I was not very happy about the lack of support for ioncube 13. I hope the cpanel team will make an arrangement on this issue.

    I got some more details from the team, and the developers let me know that several additional modules would need to be changed within EasyApache to get version 13 working on CentOS 7. Since there are only about 7 more months of life before that reaches EOL, the decision was made not to make the numerous changes that would have been required to support that newer version, so I can confirm this is not something they plan to add for CentOS 7.

    You can download the loaders yourself at:

    https://www.ioncube.com/loaders.php

    and load them into PHP 8.2 on CentOS 7 yourself.  Doesn't require any changes to any additional modules - at least that I can tell.

    sparek-3 - I did see your comment on the feature request, and my previous post here *should* explain that - we just don't plan to make all the necessary changes to get that working with CentOS 7 as it will be so short-lived.

    Yea, after I finally figured out how to log into the new forum (not a fan by the way), I found this post that explained the feature request post.
