You may want to check the server's mounts with the "mount" command to confirm this, but ultimately you'll need to work with the hosting provider or datacenter to have them get this resolved, as this is a deeper issue than just the cPanel installer.

    If you are no longer seeing the "read only" errors, then yes, not having a license will be an issue and won't allow the update to proceed. You can reach out to our support team to get the license issue resolved.
