Question regarding server migration
So we have a couple of servers with liquidweb and unfortunately their servers contain repos/packages that are considered unsupported by the elevate script, as my original intention was to elevate them from centos to Alma Linux.
My thoughts on the procedure are below and just wanted to gather some information, to in regards to the process of a proper migration.
1. Get new servers stood up
2. Setup WHM with a trial license on both servers
3. Migrate all accounts to the new servers
4. Have the original server ip's and host names moved to the new servers
5. Validate that the correct licenses are reflected on the correct servers
6. Imunify 360 licenses how would that work? Do I just setup imunify360 once the cpanel licenses are moved over, because those are tied to my cpanel account?

Hey there! Step 2 would work well as long as you have fewer than 30 accounts on your server. If you have more accounts than that, please reach out to our Customer Service team at cs@cpanel.net so we can issue you a migration license, as those do not have an account limit.
Step 4 would only be required if you wanted to keep the same IPs on the new machine. You would also want to check with your datacenter to see if that is possible - if that is something you want, they may need to place the new machine in a specific physical area of the datacenter to ensure that is an option for you.
For Step 5, you can adjust the IP of your license in the store with these steps: https://support.cpanel.net/hc/en-us/articles/360042238714-How-do-I-transfer-my-cPanel-WHM-license-to-another-IP-address-
For the Imunify license, it's easiest to just order a new one and cancel the old one, but our Customer Service team could help with that as well.
Let me know if you need anything else!

Yes we would like to keep the same ip's, because it would be easier than flipping a bunch of domains, and yes I have confirmed that the data center can do that.
In regards to the migration license is there any cost to it and how long is it good for?

You'll prob. need a step 4.5 to run the WHM IP migration wizard. The data center can prob. change the IP as the OS level, but you still need to tell cPanel/WHM about the new IP so all the configs/DSN etc. are changed from old to new IP.

There is no cost for the migration license, and it is good for 15 days.

Can the migration license time period be extended if need be?

You can always reach out to our Customer Service team as they issue those licenses, so if you needed to get it extended they would be the ones to ask!
