How can we apply a cPanel/WHM license to servers that have been migrated from dedicated physical hosts to AWS EC2, considering the change in IP address?

We intend to transition our dedicated physical hosts to AWS EC2 using live replication. Upon completion of the migration, the server within the AWS EC2 environment will acquire a new public IPv4 address. How should we manage licensing under these circumstances?

  Hey there!  You can change the IP address of your license through the cPanel Store using the details here:

  https://support.cpanel.net/hc/en-us/articles/360042238714-How-do-I-transfer-my-cPanel-WHM-license-to-another-IP-address-

  If you run into any issues with the process, such as the license locking because of too many IP changes, a quick message to our Customer Service team at cs@cpanel.net will get that taken care of for you.
